Katayeli-tia (Conch) or the snail basket as the crew are calling it in Gurune.

Ode to the feminine. The very talented artisan weaver -  Perpetual created this exquisite conch shell shaped “Speciality” basket over the course of 3 ½ weeks and we are in awe of its beauty and multi-dimensional nature. 

Awesome in an entrance or foyer, a talking point for sure and perfect displayed overlooking the ocean. Basket is art we believe.

The Baba Tree Basket Co has been preserving the culture of baskets and the Gurunsi community in Bolgatanga for the last 15 years. It’s here that an exquisitely woven community of artisans practice a time-honored weaving technique and their very own “rhythm and flow” as seen especially in our Conch basket’s unique spiraling features.
