The daily lives of Gurunsi weavers, woven with singing and art at The Baba Tree Compound are at the heart of our designs.

In Fra Fra compounds is a perforated clay pot, filled with water so the chickens can dip their heads and drink. That small daily act gives this basket its name.

Nosere-yure borrows the shape of that vessel: a full, rounded body drawn up to a narrow neck, a silhouette that holds itself with quiet confidence.

Woven densely in elephant grass, it asks only for a clear surface, the corner the eye keeps returning to.

This is a decorative piece, not a working basket. Village life, reshaped into something a home keeps on show.

A Bolga basket with a story most pieces cannot claim. Another Baba Tree original.

The weaver of this basket will receive 12.5% of the retail price as a commission in addition to what they were already paid for weaving the basket.
