Terra Art Basket

The Terra is a handwoven Bolga art basket. It once held the pito, the fermented millet brew poured out at festivals and marriages. It carries the memory of those gatherings, of harvests shared and a community at full voice.

The form is grounded and earthen, and it stands tall, a floor piece that claims its own ground rather than waiting on a shelf.

Densely woven in elephant grass in Bolgatanga, Ghana, it brings height and presence to a room without crowding it.

The weaver of this Baba Tree product will receive a 12.5% commission on the retail price in addition to what they were paid upon completion of their basket.
