Woman and Man Art Basket
Two heads. One body. One basket.
Drawing inspiration from the rare birth of a two-headed goat by her house, Asakiluro "Madame 1000" Aduko took that image and wove it into form, a single basket carrying two heads on one body.
It is a piece about duality and balance, about what holds together when two things share one shape. At The Baba Tree, women and men weave side by side, equal in hands, pay and place. The basket carries that truth in its form.
Densely woven in elephant grass in Bolgatanga, Ghana, it comes in two sizes, a small and a striking large.
A story you can keep in the room.
The weaver of this Baba Tree product will receive a 12.5% commission on the retail price in addition to what they were paid upon completion.
