The Jemima 10 Cows is a handwoven Bolga décor basket, made in Bolgatanga, Ghana. A bold, rounded piece available in a range of patterns and sizes, made to be seen rather than stored away.

Jemima Akolgo was the first to weave this basket in Bolgatanga, and we named it after her and her mastery. She taught and inspired many of our weavers before she passed away in 2021, and her innovative approach to traditional Gurunsi folklore lives on in the forms we weave today.

Our weavers are paid well for these baskets. However, they will receive a further 10% of the retail price as a commission in addition to what they were initially paid.
