How do I make a purchase?

Select your basket and click Add to Cart, then follow the checkout prompts to enter your shipping and payment details. If you need any help, email sales@babatree.com.

Will I receive the exact basket pictured?

Yes, always. You receive the exact basket shown in the listing photographs. Colours can appear slightly different from screen to screen, depending on your device.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major cards and digital wallets shown at checkout, including Shop Pay, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.

Is it safe to use my card?

Yes. Your card details are encrypted with SSL and handled to PCI-DSS standards. See our Privacy Policy for more.

How do I order a custom or bespoke basket?

Email sales@babatree.com to start. Custom and bespoke orders, including shipping, are paid in full up front before weaving begins.

What is the turnaround time on custom orders?

It depends on the size and quantity of the order, but custom baskets usually take 2 to 4.5 weeks to weave and ship. You receive an email once your order is finished and dispatched.

Can you ship to an international location?

Yes. We ship worldwide from Bolgatanga, Ghana. Ghana Post is our standard service and reaches around 60 countries. For anywhere Ghana Post does not serve, or for faster delivery, DHL is available worldwide for an additional charge. Email sales@babatree.com for further information.

How long will delivery take?

Ghana Post, our standard service: please allow 2 to 3 weeks. DHL, our paid premium upgrade: about one week to most countries.

Will I be charged sales tax?

We do not charge sales tax on our baskets shipped from Ghana, except for customers in Canada, where our company is based.

Customers in the UK, the EU and other countries around the world may be charged local sales tax, VAT, or import duties when their order arrives.

These charges are set by your own country's customs authority, are entirely outside The Baba Tree's control, and are the responsibility of the customer.

Do I have to pay import or duty charges?

For the USA, no. US tariffs are already included in our prices, so there are no duties to pay at the border.

The UK, the EU and some other countries may charge VAT or import duties set by their own customs.

These charges are outside our control and are the responsibility of the customer, and we cannot undervalue orders or mark them as gifts.

How will I know you have received my order?

You receive an email confirming your order once it is placed, and a second email with shipping and tracking details once it is dispatched.

Can I track my order?

Yes. A tracking link is emailed to you when your order is dispatched.

Ghana Post tracking is not always top tier, but rest assured our shipping team stays on Ghana Post for information and will keep you updated by email.

How do I purchase a gift card?

Add a gift card to your cart and check out. It is emailed to the recipient with instructions for redemption at babatree.com. Gift cards are valid for six months from the date of purchase.

What is your return policy?

Baskets: if a basket arrives damaged, faulty, or is not the one you ordered, email photographs to sales@babatree.com within 7 days and we will make it right.

Approved refunds do not require the basket to be returned.

Lampshades carry a 30-day window.

We do not offer change-of-mind returns, except where EU consumer law applies (see below).

EU customers - right of withdrawal

If you are ordering from the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. To start, use the withdrawal button on our website. Return shipping to Bolgatanga, Ghana, is paid by the customer, and we recommend DHL. A deduction may apply if a basket arrives back showing reduced value from handling beyond what is needed to inspect it. Approved refunds are issued within 14 days.

How do I contact customer care?

Email sales@babatree.com, Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm GMT. Messages sent outside these hours are answered within 1 to 2 business days.
